Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-07

1. Who We Are

PaySegue is an online invoice payment platform designed for independent service providers. We facilitate invoice creation and payment links. Funds are custodied by our third-party payment processor rather than by PaySegue, and flow to the merchant’s connected payment account. Payouts may be delayed where a payment or account is under review.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide (Merchants)

If you create a PaySegue account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Business name
  • Timezone and account preferences
  • Account credentials
  • Records of your acceptance of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  • Invoice details you create (amounts, descriptions, due dates)
  • Connected payment account identifiers and limited account status or branding metadata needed to operate the service
  • Authentication and connected-service information when you choose to use sign-in or integration features
  • Communications you send to us, such as support requests

B. Information About Invoice Recipients (Customers)

If you receive an invoice through PaySegue, we may process:

  • Your email address
  • Invoice and payment status information

Customers paying invoices do not need to create a PaySegue account.

C. Payment Information

PaySegue does not collect or store credit card numbers or bank account details.

Payments are currently processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor, which independently collects and processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy. Stripe’s Privacy Policy is available at https://stripe.com/privacy.

We may integrate additional payment processors in the future. Any such providers will process payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and operate the PaySegue service
  • Create and manage invoices
  • Generate secure payment links
  • Send transactional emails, such as invoice delivery and payment confirmations
  • Track invoice lifecycle states (sent, viewed, paid, failed, refunded)
  • Respond to support inquiries
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations
  • Review accounts, invoices, and transactions for fraud, impersonation, or other risk, which may include verifying merchant-provided business details against public records and third-party sources
  • Contact invoice recipients to confirm a payment they made where that payment is under review

We do not sell personal information.

4. Third-Party Services

PaySegue relies on trusted third-party service providers to operate the platform, including:

  • Payment processors (such as Stripe)
  • Email delivery providers for transactional messages
  • Authentication providers (such as Google) when you choose to sign in with them
  • Contact or account sync providers when you choose to connect them

These providers process information only as necessary to perform their services and in accordance with their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies and Analytics

At this time, PaySegue does not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics, and our transactional emails do not use open or click tracking. We may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for authentication, security, and basic session management.

If analytics or additional tracking technologies are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Services
  • Maintain records related to invoices and transactions
  • Comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

7. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. While we take these measures seriously, security risks cannot be entirely eliminated.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you
  • Request that your information be corrected or deleted
  • Object to certain processing activities

For example, you may contact us to ask what personal information we have on file for you or to request updates or deletion where appropriate.

9. Children’s Privacy

PaySegue is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13, and if we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
